No espresso machine? The Italian coffee maker — the moka — is the most traditional way to get a strong and full-bodied coffee at home. The medium roast of HUMANO Espresso gives you an intense cup, with notes of chocolate and dried fruits.
Why HUMANO Espresso in a moka pot
Moka works with gentle pressure and enhances the body and sweetness of the medium roast. It is ideal for those who like a short and intense coffee, on its own or with a little milk.
Quick recipe
- Coffee: fill the funnel without pressing (medium-fine grind)
- Water: hot, up to the safety valve
- Heat: medium-low
- Time: ~4–5 min
Step by step
- Place hot water in the base, up to the valve level.
- Fill the funnel with medium-fine ground HUMANO Espresso and level without pressing.
- Screw tightly and place over medium-low heat, with the lid open.
- When the coffee rises with a golden tone, lower the heat.
- At the first "gurgle", remove from heat and cool the base under cold water.
- Stir and serve immediately.
HUMANO tips
Hot water from the start avoids a "burnt" taste. A medium-fine grind (coarser than espresso, finer than filter) is the ideal point. Wash the moka pot with water only.
